I started Scorpion Spice Company, LLC out of my love for cooking in general and grilling, barbequing and smoking in particular. My first real job was in a restaurant as a busboy, then I got a chance to work in the kitchen of another well known restaurant and was mentored by the chef. He taught me everything I know about cooking. He told me that you have to eat everyday so you may as well enjoy cooking and eating well. I try to live by those words.

After graduating college, I worked in the computer industry for 15 years and when the tech bubble burst I had had enough. My wife and I discussed opening a restaurant and both agreed that now was not the time. So dry rubs it was.

The rubs were created from my own recipes and from friends'. They all contain the best ingredients available. They have all been tried on various meats and veggies. I do not use ingredients that have been altered with additives, flavorings and colors. No MSG is added, nor is anything else that isn't natural. I'm always experimenting with new spice combinations. It sure beats fixing computer network problems.

We purchase spices in large quantities and offer them in individual containers or in bulk form. You can also purchase the dry rubs in bulk quantities.
